yes, i looked it up and saw it was created in july of this year, but i don't think that it automatically means it's oog just yet.
well, first of all, 1-18-08.com has a new picture. it's of a japanese cook and his recipe involving chilled chicken and noodles and an ingredient called "Kaitei no mitsu" (Bottom of the Sea Nectar/Honey) . shrug.
google "kaitei no mitsu" and you get this odd restaurant review from someone that ate at a restaurant named garbanzo's. here's the portion of the review that deals with the bottom of the sea nectar:
I called Chef Nakamura to my side, clapped him upon the back, and demanded an explanation. I quickly realized my mistake, as Nakamura is a somewhat long-winded fellow. The recipe, he blabbered, was sent to him by his brother, a fellow chef working in Tokyo, where it had been gaining favor in some of Japan’s most well-renowned restaurants. It contained the finest ingredients money can buy, from fresh bay leaves imported by a company called Fotopoulos Herb Gardens in Crete, to something the Japanese call “kaitei no mitsu”, or “Seabed’s Nectar”, shipped in dry ice by a company out of Honshu called Tagruato. I feigned interest in the chef’s incessant prattle, distracted by the unveiling of desert.
it appears that the chef in the photo is the brother of the man in the review. but, why did this person bother to write the details of the companies that shipped the ingredients?
well, look up tagruato. googling only brings up the restaurant review, but tagruato.jp exists.
the site looks really professional and has a huge mention of slusho throughout. they are a deep-sea mining corporation whose latest drill location is the closest one to NYC and is due to open "september 2007". i've been clicking around for a while now and i hope it's something, because i'm getting tired of there not being any news with this film.
the site opened july 25, but the headlines are being backdated to february, like the blogs of the characters on myspace.
sorry to keep editing this, i'm excited and i'm realizing that this probably makes little sense to anyone but me.
